Interested in making the most of the National Trust near you? Join your local group to enjoy special interest talks, visits, holidays and other social and fundraising events.
You will also be helping a great cause - local groups support the work of the charity and raise hundreds of thousands of pounds every year for our conservation and access projects around the country.
The Newbury and District Association is an entirely voluntary association of National Trust members and volunteers residing within West Berkshire. It is run by a small, elected Committee and currently has some 400 members.
Coming Up !!
Our next evening meeting will be our Christmas Social on Monday 12th December. We will be entertained by Tony Strafford, a retired Yeoman of the Guard (Beefeater) in his full iniform. He will give us a lively and entertaining talk entitled "Bishops, Sex and Money". I think you need to be there!! The meeting will start at 7.30 pm at our normal venue of New Greenham Arts. All evening meetings are held at New Greenham Arts Centre and directions can be found by going to the link on the Links page and clicking on the "How to find us" link at the bottom of the page which takes you to a map.
Our next day trip will be on Wednesday 30th November and is to Waddesdon which will be dressed for Christmas, this trip to include a 2 course lunch. The organiser is Anne Bennett and the coach leaves the Rugby Club at 10.00 and the Wharf at 10.10 am with the return time being 6.30/7.00 pm approximately.
