Interested in making the most of the National Trust near you? Join your local group to enjoy special interest talks, visits, holidays and other social and fundraising events.

You will also be helping a great cause - local groups support the work of the charity and raise hundreds of thousands of pounds every year for our conservation and access projects around the country.

The Newbury and District Association is an entirely voluntary association of National Trust members and volunteers residing within West Berkshire. It is run by a small, elected Committee and currently has some 400 members.

The January 14th evening meeting will start at 7.30 pm as usual. The Speaker is Robert Ballard  and his talk  will be on The History, development and plants of Longstock Park Water Gardens.  Go to our Links page for directions to St George the Martyr Church. 

By coincidence our first day trip for this year is to Longstock Park Water Gardens on 11th April. The organiser is Linda Myatt and the coach leaves the Rugby Club at 09.45 and goes to the New Bus Station for 10.00 am. Return time is approx 4.00 pm.
