Today we have an opportunity to visit Burghley House, one of England’s greatest Elizabethan Houses in the heart of Lincolnshire. It was built in 1555, by William Cecil, Lord High Treasurer and Chief Minister to Queen Elizabeth 1.

After a comfort stop en route on arrival at the house we will have an introductory talk over tea and coffee in the Loggia after which we can enjoy a free-flow visit to the State rooms and gardens. The gardens were landscaped by Capability Brown.

Lunch can be taken at a time to suit yourself with afternoon refreshments being had before starting for home at 3.30/4.00pm.

Cost : £44.00 to include introductory talk, coach hire and driver gratuity. Lunch and any other refreshments during the day at own expense.
Please add £2.00 to your cheque if parking at the Rugby Club.
