We meet our Blue Badge Guide at 10.30 am at the Library of Birmingham where we can buy refreshments and explore this extraordinary building with roof terraces giving far ranging views across the city.   We rejoin the coach with our guide for a tour telling the story of a city of a thousand trades and see the model village of Bournville where the Quaker Cadbury family built their factory and houses for their workers.   We arrive at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery for lunch in their Edwardian Tea Rooms or nearby pub or café.   There could also be time to view their Pre-Raphaelite painting collection and the Staffordshire Hoard of Anglo-Saxon gold and silver.

After lunch we visit Aston Hall, a Jacobean Prodigy House, built to impress the monarch during the annual summer progress which now houses an extensive collection of paintings and furniture. It will be possible to buy tea before our departure at 4.45 pm.

Cost : £42.00 per person includes coach, guide and gratuity to driver.    Morning coffee, lunch and tea to be purchased as required.   Please add £2 to your cheque if parking at the Rugby Club.
