Talk at 7.30 pm by Ros Liddington at St George The Martyr, Andover Road, Wash Common

The Earls of Pembroke and the Ladies who made a Difference

Ros Liddington is a teacher.  She wrote the education programme for the estate of the late Earl of Pembroke at Wilton House, and for the last 16 years she has been responsible for exhibitions, both research and presentation, in the course of which she has amassed a large collection of artefacts and costumes.  In her talk, she will cover some 500 years of the residence of Earls and their ladies at Wilton, from the Tudors onwards.  Many aristocratic families are dominated by men, but the ladies are often the movers and shakers.  She will bring a few artefacts and costumes.
